I have several pair of the AO Safety “Fuel” safety sunglasses and swear by them for almost any outdoor activity. My first choice when I’m sailing and working on boats and even for general wear outside on bright days. The product is great for the average male face, but due to it being a unisex item, is too large for my face (50 year old female, 5′4″). Worth trying them if you need sunglasses that you can wear right over your prescription glasses - everyone is a different size and shape.

Yes, these are the same brand/style shades given to us by the Ophthalmologist whenever pupils are dilated…and, for those of us with sun sensitive eyes and glasses, we end up using them, sans case, until they’re so scratched, we can barely see out of them any more.

These are pretty good shades, reasonably priced, and effective. I don’t know where the layer of UV protection is, however, and that bugs me. I would like it between layers in the lens, instead of on the surface. If anybody from the company actually reads these reviews, they may want to note that. The nose rest could be a little wider too, but that is minor. All in all, as I said, pretty good shades.

Customer Review: excellent UV blocking
Great sunglesses, they easily fit over my perscription sunglesses which are 5 1/4 inch wide. My only complaint is the plastic material for the frames is quite brittle so if you drop them they can break easily. Luckily I haven’t done this yet… Overall great buy for the money.

These glasses are decent, but despite the UV filtering, are apparently not polarized. Polarization cuts the glare, and I really wanted that, but did not read carefully. There are Solar Shield glasses that have this feature, but these are not them. Caveat emptor!

I use these in the ER for eye splash protection…very nice. They did fog some with a mask, gown, & hat on, but they fit nicely, are good optically and can’t be beat for just over $4/pair.
