Customer Review: Great all-around racquet
This racquet is great for intermediate players who are looking for power and control. Although it is a bit heavier then normal racquets, it really doesn’t matter unless you dont have alot of strength. I recommend using Babolat custom hybrid strings which is the Pro Hurricane half-set and Vs half-set. I’m very pleased with this racquet and im sure you’ll be pleased too!

Babolat New Pure Drive (Cortex) Plus Tennis Racquet - 1330 An update to the legendary Babolat Pure Drive Team Plus, the new Pure Drive Plus w/ Cortex utilizes a vibration filter called Cortex at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat’s players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies.Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter.

Other than the addition of the Cortex filter (and a snazzy new paint scheme) Babolat has kept the specifications on this new Pure Drive Plus EXACTLY the same as the outgoing Pure Drive Team Plus. That is, the Pure Drive Plus w/ Cortex is not a traditional players racquet in the sense that it’s light, stiff, and fairly powerful.

This racket is excellent for an all-court player, rating level 3.5 to 5.0 (intermediate to advanced). The oversized head makes for great reach at the net while my serve does not suffer a bit. I get power and touch off the ground. My results improved with this racket over a couple of others I’d been using. Very nice!
