Whether it’s been a match from the well established stars on the tour to the new up and coming talents, this season has given all tennis fans something to smile about. Who can forget THAT Wimbledon men’s singles final? In years to come, we may look back at the history books and determine that it was on Sunday 6th July that signaled the changing of the guard for the title of world’s greatest tennis player, as Rafael Nadal finally became the first man to beat Roger Federer on grass, and end his 59-match unbeaten run. It was truly a Wimbledon epic and worthy of any Grand-Slam tournament final, and will live long in the memory for many years to come. With all this excitement, tennis is set to be one of the hot sports of the summer and not just for the British who suddenly find themselves with both ladies’ and men’s hopefuls for the future. We can look forward to more thrilling matches from Andy Murray and his brother Jamie, who are competing together in the men’s doubles in the upcoming B … Tags: Andy Murray, Brother Jamie, Excitement, Fashion, First Man, Grand Slam Tournament, Grass, History Books, Hopefuls, Hot Sports, Match, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Something To Smile About, Talents, Tennis Fans, Tennis Player, Wimbledon, Wimbledon Men, World TennisTennis has a great tradition in the United States. The U.S. has won the legendary Davis Cup more than any country in the world. In addition, the United States is the home of Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras and many other champions in the recent years. But tennis does not get enough attention in the United States these days. Davis Cup gets minimal coverage on TV, and the coverage of major tournaments such as the Masters Series has been significantly less than previous years. So why is it that a tennis rich country such as the U.S. does not pay enough attention to the “beautiful game.” Tennis fans in the U.S. have been spoiled by the wealth of titles won by U.S. players in the past decade. The days of Agassi, Sampras, Courier, and Chang are extraordinary, and it would be unreasonable to expect the current crop of players to emulate what has been done by the legends of the past. The U.S. fans are patriotic and they tend to pay attention to sports that Americans are dominating. … Tags: Andre Agassi, Beautiful Game, Current, Davis Cup, Decade, Legends, Love United, Masters Series, Michael Chang, Minimal Coverage, Pete Sampras, Previous Years, Sampras Courier, Sports, Tennis Fans, Tradition, United States Tennis.. The French Open takes place in early June, and then a fortnight later comes the mighty Wimbledon, the tournaments of tournaments in the tennis world. Tennis is watched and played all over the world, and it’s this popularity that you tap into for your profit. Niche marketing means that you focus on a certain group of people who have the same interest. Sport is great for this, because each sport can be a niche in itself, and can also be broken down into subniches. For example, tennis fans like to buy merchandise, maybe you could sell Wimbledon towels or umbrellas, or how about posters of the big stars? (sports posters are a big seller). You could start your own site and provide these goods yourself, but it’s much more efficient to use the affiliate model, which means you send traffic to sites already selling the goods, and make commission on any sales. The affiliate model had made many fortunes online. Tennis has plenty of other routes to profit. There is a market for tickets to the b … Tags: Affiliate Model, Buy Sell, Focus, Fortnight, Fortunes, French Open, Niche Marketing, Popularity, Sport, Sports Posters, Stars, Tap, Tennis Fans, Tennis World, Towels, Traffic, Umbrellas, Wimbledon, World Tennis

US Tennis Fans Expecting Roddick to Rescue the US TennisPosted by: Mr.Tennis in Interesting SiteThis week’s tournament the Countrywide Classic, Andy has been seeded as the number six. Many believe Roddick still has lots to give to the tennis world and especially to the United States but he does not seem to be on the right track as after reaching the number one spot in 2003 he has not able to be in the number one spot once again. That same year Roddick achieved his maiden Grand Slam in New York City. Right after this period Roger Federer became the world number one and the Spaniard Rafael Nadal the world number two in the ATP circuit. One of the reasons Roddick quickly descended from the top position was the fact that he lost in three Grand Slam finals during Wimbledon in 2004 and 2005 and the U.S. Open in 2006 to the Swiss master Roger Federer. Nevertheless, Roddick has incredible potential but he has not been able to find the right coach to achieve more titles. For the moment, Andy Roddick is the highest ranked American tennis player currently placed in the 6th position.
