Head i.S12 Tennis Racquet Review
By and large, there are three types of ’styles’ that players usually fall into, and most players usually adopt a style that maximizes their natural strengths on the court wile simultaneously minimizing their weaknesses. Let’s take a look at the three most widely adopted ’styles’ of tennis. Let’s start with the ‘Baseliner’. A Baseliner is a player that, most of the time, plays from the baseline and utilizes their ground strokes to play their most effective tennis. Most often, this results in long rallies back and forth across the net, with the Baseliner’s main goal being to simply hit the ball back over the net just one more time than their opponent. Strategies of the Baseliner include: - Moving the opponent side to side, wearing their opponent down physically by making them run down well-placed shots. - Keeping the ball deep in their opponent’s court, which reduces the angle from which their opponent may attack. - Hitting a variety of consistently well-placed shots that keeps their … Tags: Baseline, Game Play, Ground Strokes, Main Goal, Natural Strengths, Opponent, Plays, Rallies, Tennis Game, Variety, Wile
If you are like me who plays every day for a couple of hours then there is no question the next thing you need to do is purchase a string machine. Yes they can be quite expensive initially but you will see in a quick period of time that it will pay for it self. Now if you are more of a social tennis player who plays a couple of times a day here are some reasons still to invest in a string machine. Well first it really isn’t that difficult to learn how to string. Almost every racket is designed in the same way and by learning on one racket you will be able to string many other types. You see many people pay for their rackets to be strung and the price is normally around 15-20 dollars. Now if you belong to a club or tennis group right there is access to people … Tags: Invest, Leads, Many Other Types, Money, Period Of Time, Plays, Social Tennis, String Machine, Tennis Group, Tennis Player, Tennis String

Grand Slam Tennis - Hits and Misses in the Women’s DrawPosted by: Mr.Tennis in Interesting SiteThe women’s side has produced the biggest upset at the time I wrote this. Top seed Jelena Jankovic lost her fourth round match and received a straight sets thrashing from Frenchwoman Marian Bartoli, 1-6, 4-6. Jankovic’s exit follows the path of fellow Serb Ana Ivanovic who was the fifth seed and Venus Williams who was the sixth. But unlike the two, Jankovic’s conqueror has better credentials, someone who can beat the top seed at any given day as long as she plays her best tennis. Marion Bartoli, the 16th seed, gained prominence last year at Wimbledon when she reached the final and played against eventual winner Venus Williams. But what made her feat remarkable was the road she took in reaching the finals. She beat the then third seed Jankovic 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in a match that was stopped many times because of the weather. Her most notable conquest was when she came from behind a set down and defeated the then top seed Justine Henin in the semi-final 1-6, 7-5, 6-1. Dinara Safina battled re … Tags: Ana Ivanovic, Conqueror, Conquest, Credentials, Dinara Safina, Fellow, Fifth Seed, Grand Slam Tennis, Jelena Jankovic, Justine Henin, Marian, Marion Bartoli, Match, Plays, Prominence, Straight Sets, Tennis Women, Venus Williams, Weather, Wimbledon
