Tennis is one of the world’s most widely-played sports, enjoyed by players of all ages. It is also a popular spectator sport, with star players in glamorous tournaments watched on TV by millions of fans all over the world. It is also an Olympic sport and is played at all levels of society, by all ages, and in many countries around the world. Except for the adoption of the tie-breaker in the 1970s, its rules have remained remarkably unchanged since the 1890s. In the sports category, tennis is the best individual sport in the world. It brings together every aspect of the mind, body, heart and soul of a player. It first originated in Europe during the 19th century. Since then it has gained wide popularity and is played worldwide. The modern game is played mostly from the baseline, and that’s not going to change. You should know that tennis is a game that is always throwing your body physically out of balance. Before this point, the history of tennis is the history of a completely different game real tennis. Real tennis is played on indoor courts. In fact, real tennis cannot be played outside the players use the angled walls of a real tennis court to strategically hit and return the ball to their opponents. Yes, real tennis his very similar to today s modern tennis, or lawn tennis, but only in the same way that handball, badminton, croquet, and racquetball are similar to lawn tennis! That is why I choose to start my history of tennis at the point in which lawn tennis diverged from real tennis, and this happened in the 1850 s. It was in the 1850 s that Charles Goodyear, of Goodyear tire fame, invented vulcanized rubber. Vulcanized rubber is a process that prevents natural rubber from deteriorating so quickly (without the vulcanization process, natural rubber could deteriorate within just a few days.) So, with the vulcanization of rubber came rubber tennis balls. The rubber tennis bal …

..etc? Before that PSP was not doing that good compared to other leagues. What I mean is, are they making any money or are they doing a real good job in promoting the events? So, seeing there is a problem in this, they hired Keeley Watson and Lane Wright. I must say it’s quite a good move! Right now, this is their strength. The company is working very, very hard to running better events and controlling what happens inside the net. As you know they allocate a large portion of $$$ to get the best refs, get a good commissioner, etc. I would say the biggest strength is their X-ball format! Be careful guys, your biggest strength could be your weakness. Now talking about X-ball, it’s quite new as you know. People are crazy about it. A lot of paintball teams spend a lot of money on it when it was first introduced because it is quite easy to learn but of course it was before the industry went rough. Now PSP spend lion’s portion of their budget on all of these and they just ran out of money whe …

It allows us to manipulate objects in an infinite number of directions at various speeds. The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and provides many degrees of motion. This freedom of motion allows us to reach high and low, far and near for objects in space. The large amount of shoulder mobility does not come without a price. Increase in shoulder or (Glenohumeral Joint) mobility leads to a decrease in the stability of the joint. When a joint is unstable, it is more likely to suffer an injury. The most common injury to the shoulder is from a repetitive movement on an unstable joint. This movement can vary from typing at a computer with poor posture to an unstable tennis or golf swing. Shoulder injuries are not discriminatory to a specific sport or action. They affect both male and females athletes and non-athletes alike. The following guidelines in this article will help to prevent the possibility of developing a shoulder injury due to overhead sports, poor posture and imprope …

Although the process explained here is simple, it does assume that you are physically prepared for your match through proper physical conditioning and your on-going tennis exercise routines. In short, the physical and mental parts of a complete tennis game are inseparable. The payback from learning and applying this technique can be substantial, particularly if you are prone to excessive pre-match “jitters”. Your nervousness will be eliminated which will give you that much more time to focus on the technical side of your tennis game and your physical conditioning. This proven system starts with visualizations. Try closing your eyes and imagine yourself in a stressful situation during a tennis match. Once you have that mental image and are starting to actually feel the tension inside, follow the steps below to get your anxiety under control. You may not see maximum results your first few times through the exercise, but if you are consistent with applying the technique, you should notic …

The following 7 beginner mistakes are what I believe to be the biggest challenges for the novice. Address these issues and you’ll be improving in no time. 1. Not Judging The Ball It’s very common for a beginner to lack judgment in where the ball is going to go and how fast it’s going to get there and play appropriately. A beginner often thinks the ball is going to be shorter than it actually is. They rush to the ball and consequently hit the ball to hard and are off balance when they get there. They don’t realise that the ball will actually fly deeper. 2. Hitting The Ball Too Hard Another big challenge for a beginner is how not to hit the ball too hard. They see a ball and swing at it. A beginner is only thinking of connecting with the oncoming ball and they may panic a little. One of the main reasons for hitting too hard is that they don’t have a target. Your arm doesn’t know how much it should swing, if you know the distance then you can get a feel for what force is required. 3. Bei …
