Head MicroGel Prestige Pro Tennis Racquet The Head MicroGel Prestige Pro is an update to the latest version of Head’s hugely successful player-oriented Prestige series, inspired by numerous Head Touring pros. The Microgel Prestige Pro offers the ultimate control of Head’s players racquets, utilizing a more forgiving mid plus head in combination with a more open string pattern and slightly heavier heft than the standard Microgel Prestige. Maneuverability remains intact thanks to a nicely weighted head light balance.
Head has kept most specifications consistent with the Flexpoint version of the Prestige, but now with the added benefit of MicroGel technology. MicroGel offers aggressive, competitive players ultimate feel, unique touch, and added stability. When combined with carbon composite fibers in the racquet head, MicroGel deforms and compresses upon ball impact, uniformly absorbing and distributing the impact load around the entire frame, creating a rock-solid feel while offering extra stability against twisting.

Head FlexPoint 10 Tennis Racquet The Head FlexPoint 10 Oversize is a power-oriented option in the new-for-2005 Head FlexPoint series. The FlexPoint 10 offers a very powerful feel thanks to its 31mm width beam, yet is surprisingly controlled thanks to the “flexpoints” cut into the frame at 3:00 and 9:00. Also, slightly lighter than the other FlexPoint frames.
Two precisley engineered holes at the 3:00 and 9:00 position work together to bring power in control. The dimple is engineered to create flexibility by reducing beam height by a maximum of 25%. The hole reduces sectional stiffness up to 50%. Basically, the racquet is cupping the ball to hold the ball a split second longer and create a narrower path. A rifle instead of a shotgun. The racquet also produces less shock making the new FlexPoint 10 a winner for beginning to advanced intermediate players.
Racquet Specifications
- Headsize: 121 sq. in.
- Length: 27.50 in.
- Weight (strung): 9.25 oz.
- Stiffness (Babolat RDC): 69
- Balance: 14.96 in. Head Heavy
- Cross Section: 31mm Straight Beam
- Swingweight: 316 kg*sq. cm
- String Pattern: 16×19
- Grip: Head HydroSorb
Customer Review: Great racquet for the intermediate player Positives: 1. Great racquet with lots of power and feel. Love the low weight and light feel. 2. Negatives: lack of feel from the midcourt (on the rise approach shots are a good example), need to compensate with a slower/shorter swing.

Head Titanium Ti-S6 Tennis Racquet Review
Our Review: Tennis Magazine gave A’s in all four categories. Power, Comfort, Control and Maneuverability. One of the best all time rated racquets.
The Head TI-S6 tennis racquet is the #1 selling racquet in America for a reason. Head produced the TI-S6 to have all the answers for the club player with a compact swing. Its superior titanium design allows a level of control rarely seen in a racquet with this much power. The maneuverability of a light weight racquet is there, but we were surprised by how solid it was on off center shots.

Head Liquidmetal Instinct Tennis Racquet The Head Liquidmetal Instinct offers much of the control of Head’s player’s racquets, but in a slightly lighter weight and with a more forgiving sweetspot. Designed to bridge the gap between the player-oriented Liquidmetal Radical and the more power-oriented Liquidmetal 2 and 4. The Liquidmetal Instinct is best suited to an intermediate to advanced level player with a moderate to fast swing who requires a slightly larger sweetspot than a traditional player’s racquet would offer. Dense string pattern further enhances control without sacrificing the size of the sweetspot.

It really is a beautiful sport. It is the perfect marriage of the body and the brain, physical and mental. I guess that is where I have missed the boat. I would work endlessly on my chops, out on the practice court hitting serves or forehands off the wall and nausea. I work out regularly and stay in shape so I can outlast my opponent on those brutal August afternoons. So when I see programs like Tennis Mind Game I am intrigued. Can Tennis Mind Game be that coach in my head? You remember how Boris Becker said that in a five set match, the fifth set is not about tennis, it’s about heart (i.e. head)? But we cannot fathom just how complex our brain works, and when we interfere in the process is when we induce errors. The mind is clearly the most important part of our game. And if we have issues in our head, they usually manifest during a match, where the pressure of competition exposes our fears, egos, and inner conflicts. Is this a Zen-like approach to tennis? Well, sort of. It’ …
