Babolat Aero Storm 2008 Tennis Racquet - 1450 Babolat Aero Storm 2008 Tennis Racquet - 1450 The Babolat Aero Storm 2008 is a new addition to Babolat’s highly popular Aero line of racquets. The 2008 version of the Aero Storm is a lighter weight, more maneuverable option to the Aero Storm Tour (as well as being lighter than the 2007 version of the Aero Storm.) Still a racquet for players with fast swing speeds that generate their own power with a wing-like cross-section. This more aerodynamic profile allows the racquet to cut through the air up to 15% more efficiently, thus allowing for more racquet head acceleration. A nice option for the intermediate to advanced player looking for a slightly easier to swing option in the Babolat Storm family of racquets.

Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Tennis Racquet - 1323 Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Tennis Racquet - 1323 New for 2006, the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick is a slightly heavier update to the legendary Babolat Pure Drive Team. Meant to more closely replicate the weight of Andy’s racquet, the Pure Drive Roddick provides a little more stiffness and power, provided you are able to handle the additional weight. Still categorized as a tweener (between powerful/controlled), the Pure Drive Roddick should retain its appeal to a wide array of players. Works well at the net (though not quite as maneuverable), as well as the baseline. Babolat also makes use of a new vibration dampening material called Cortex placed at the top of the handle and acts as an active dampener, without sacrificing feel.

    Racquet Specifications
  • Headsize: 100 sq. in.
  • Length: 27.00 in.
  • Weight (strung): 11.85 oz.
  • Stiffness (Babolat RDC): 73

  • Cross Section: 25mm Head/22mm Throat
  • Swingweight: 328 kg*sq. cm
  • String Pattern: 16×19
  • Grip: Syntec

We will string this racquet for you at the recommended tension with a premium synthetic gut string. This is a normal retail value of $24.95 for free!
Customer Review: Great all-around racquet
This racquet is great for intermediate players who are looking for power and control. Although it is a bit heavier then normal racquets, it really doesn’t matter unless you dont have alot of strength. I recommend using Babolat custom hybrid strings which is the Pro Hurricane half-set and Vs half-set. I’m very pleased with this racquet and im sure you’ll be pleased too!

Babolat Drive Z Lite (Cortex) Tennis Racquet - 1407 Babolat Drive Z Lite (Cortex) Tennis Racquet - 1407 The Babolat Drive Z-Lite with Cortex is now offered in a new cosmetic for 2007. The specification is exactly the same as the previous-generation Drive Z-Lite Cortex, utilizing the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat’s players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter. Other than the addition of the Cortex filter (and a snazzy new paint scheme) Babolat has kept the specifications on this new version of the Drive Z-Lite w/ Cortex the same as the outgoing Drive Z-Lite. The Babolat Drive Z-Lite still has the feel of a “players” racquet with a solid, stable, comfortable feel, but with a broader appeal due to its lighter weight. Geared to the intermediate to advanced player possessing a longer, faster swing, who will appreciate the slightly lighter and more maneuverable feel versus the regular Pure Drive.

    Racquet Specifications
  • Headsize: 100 sq. in.
  • Length: 27.00 in.
  • Weight (strung): 9.85 oz.
  • Stiffness (Babolat RDC): 67
  • Balance: 14.13 in. Head Heavy

Customer Review: Solid choice for 3.0-5.0 players
I have tried many of the babolat racquets [...] and found that this racquet was one of the most controllable and most powerful. More head space provides a bigger sweet spot and a lighter frame (perfect for beginners) and a bigger trampoline effect when it comes into contact with the ball When your are doing crisp volleys at the net the trampoline effect also improve your shots and control.
The lighter frame also improves your swing speed increasing the spin you put on the ball.
