Some Of The Basics You Should Know To Coach TennisPosted by: Mr.Tennis in Interesting SiteFirst, before you make a solid commitment to either play or coach tennis there are some things that you should know first. Many who may not even be attracted to the game of tennis itself are still intrigued by the history of it. Tennis or at least versions of tennis can be traced back to ancient Greek civilizations. Many of those cultures enjoyed the sport for literally centuries. Of course, it is unlikely that they called it tennis as that was not dubbed until 1874 which is also when it became a common game worldwide. First the French tool a liking to it, then the people from Portugal, then England, and from there it flourished. The game of tennis is played in what is called a “court.” The dimensions of this court are standard 78×27. The key is to make the stats work for you. What do you need to do? Focus on one part of your game only. For example unforced errors. Have your coach or a friend chart the statistics of a full match 2 or 3 sets (practice or tournament play). Whatever the result, if you are playing an opponent of identical level as yours, you will have a number and this number looked at in the overall context of the match can tell you if it was a determining factor or not in your win or loss. Once that is determined the kind of consistency level you are at will also be evident to you as well as the need to work intensively on it or not. This is a simple step to improvement but an important one, because the ability to be consistent on any shot is key to playing higher level competitive tennis. The quicker you find the culprit, be it the forehand or backhand the fast … Tags: Coach, Competitive Tennis, Consistency Level, Culprit, Focus, Forehand, Match 2, Math, Opponent, Statistics, Tennis Game, Unforced ErrorsI am going to share with you 5 tennis tips for beginners that will help you get started the right way. One. The first tennis tip for beginners is not to try too hard. Yes, do not try to hard at first even if your coach tells you to. It is common to try too hard to get a better result, but that is often not the case in tennis. If you find that you are having trouble with a stroke or technique, try softening your grip and muscles and don’t worry about hitting the ball perfect at first until you have the technique down. It takes time to get the required skills to play tennis. Start with normal soft hits at first. Two. The second tip is try not to have any expectations. If you find that you are expecting a certain result every time you will find yourself getting more and more frustrated. You will develop at your own pace so try not to stress over it. It will all come to you in time but if you start expecting certain results you can set yourself back. Three. Next I want you to realize that … Tags: Coach, Muscles, Own Pace, Share Tips, Stroke, Tennis Tip, Tennis Tips, WorryTennis has a gentlemen’s competitive spirit that brings a ray of light to the sport. Have you ever wondered how your friend all of a sudden started beating a person each time they played after losing many times initially? There are simple explanations of just becoming faster and being more fit, but what comes with that are improved skills and mental recognition during match play to execute shots in certain situations. What you may see is better shot making, what a coach sees is someone who now hits the right shot at the right time, plays the percentages, and knows his or her opponent’s game. Upon recognizing your opponents, weaknesses, you can now start to effectively employ a strategy to win. In the beginning, you may not be able to do this but with repetition, it will improve and you will find yourself winning more sets. For example, if you are losing to a serve and volley player, employ if you can, what world No.1 Roger Federer does and chip or slice returns back “low” to them feet … Tags: Coach, Game, Gentlemen, Match Play, Opponent, Opponents, Percentages, Ray Of Light, Repetition, Right Time, Roger Federer, Serve And Volley, Simple Explanations, Spirit, Tennis

Many believe Roddick still has lots to give to the tennis world and especially to the United States but he does not seem to be on the right track as after reaching the number one spot in 2003 he has not able to be in the number one spot once again. That same year Roddick achieved his maiden Grand Slam in New York City. Right after this period Roger Federer became the world number one and the Spaniard Rafael Nadal the world number two in the ATP circuit. One of the reasons Roddick quickly descended from the top position was the fact that he lost in three Grand Slam finals during Wimbledon in 2004 and 2005 and the U.S. Open in 2006 to the Swiss master Roger Federer. Nevertheless, Roddick has incredible potential but he has not been able to find the right coach to achieve more titles. For the moment, Andy Roddick is the highest ranked American tennis player currently placed in the 6th position.
